Processing examples of silicone rubber fan-shaped gaskets
Supports complex shapes with a water jet.
■Overview of Processing Example Product Name: Fan-Shaped Gasket / Dimensions: R178×R117, Thickness 3mm, φ7 holes at 4 locations, with inner and outer radii / This processing example features a fan-shaped gasket made from silicone rubber. It was manufactured for mounting on a leveling plate. The gasket has a complex fan shape with different curvatures on the inside and outside, and requires machining of four bolt holes, so water jet processing was selected. The non-contact cutting with high-pressure water prevents thermal effects and deformation on the rubber material, resulting in smooth curves. ■Product Features Silicone rubber (Si) is a special rubber with a silicon-based main framework. It has excellent heat resistance (up to 200°C) and cold resistance (down to -70°C), demonstrating stable performance over a wide temperature range. It also has high weather resistance, electrical insulation properties, and safety for human contact, making it widely used as a sealing material in the food and medical fields, as well as in high-temperature environments, although its mechanical strength is relatively low.
